JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is currently seeking an Agricultural/ Irrigation Design Engineer for a 12-month performance-linked contract. The ideal applicant must be able to start immediately and have experience designing functional irrigation schemes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Planning an irrigation system for a specific crop including feasibility assessment
  • Design pivot, sprinkler, and drip irrigation systems
  • Conduct infield hydraulics calculations
  • Choose the correct equipment to ensure water is delivered as per crop requirements
  • Prepare farm layout plans and infrastructure component construction drawings and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Min. 10 years relevant work experience
  • BSc Agricultural Engineering
  • ECSA Professional Registration beneficial

Experience:

  • AutoCAD, Civ3D, Model Maker, and Irrimaker
  • Traceable experience in design
  • Operation and maintenance of a strong irrigation scheme
