SUMMARY:

Job Summary – Superintendent I, Air Quality

We are seeking an experienced and driven Superintendent I, Air Quality to lead the development and execution of site-wide air quality management strategies, with a strong focus on smelter emissions. This senior role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and international standards, while supporting long-term environmental goals

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead air quality strategy and emissions control initiatives across operations, especially smelting.
Design and manage air quality monitoring programs and emissions reduction projects (2–5 year planning).
Conduct carbon footprint assessments, and develop carbon reduction strategies.
Ensure compliance with air quality regulations and emissions targets.
Utilize air quality modeling tools (e.g., AERMOD, CALPUFF) and manage related data and reporting.
Provide technical guidance on air pollution control technologies and emerging innovations.
Engage stakeholders and communities, address concerns, and represent the company in regulatory forums.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and cross-functional collaboration.
Lead skills development, coaching, and knowledge transfer initiatives within the team.
Drive health, safety, and environmental (HSEQ) compliance across air quality operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Environmental Sciences/Engineering (Master’s preferred).
10+ years in mining, including 5plus in smelting environments.
Expertise in air quality modeling, emissions control, and climate change mitigation.
Proficiency in data analysis, environmental regulations, and budget management.
Fluent in English; French is an advantage.
