JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing adequate monitoring – research /surveillance tools.
- Discharging the responsibilities of AFC as set out under global KYC policies for divisions present in the jurisdiction.
- Deciding on new or existing clients that are escalated or decide to escalate further.
- Tracking and following-up on the conditions that have been imposed as part of the KYC approval.
- Following-up with the Business on status of Regular Reviews and obtain relevant MIS from the Business
- Advising on and ensuring implementation of AFC policies and procedures.
- Assessing the conformity of internal policies and procedures, systems and controls with relevant regulatory obligations and Group standards.
EDUCATION
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- BCom Honours degree or similar
- Certificate in Money Laundering Control would be advantageous
JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position with experience in AFC within an international organization/bank in the Financial Services industry
- Prior experience of acting as regulatory liaison with regards to Compliance and AFC matters
- Understanding of AFC risks and typologies in order to identify areas or instances of potential AFC risks and to address them appropriately
