Area Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client would like to recruit a Gauteng-based Area Manager in their Commercial Department. The ideal candidate would be a self-driven and focused individual, with at least 3 years’ proven sales experience in either the FMCG / liquor /on consumption industry or similar working environment.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Site and LPM roll-out by:

• Acquisition of compliant and profitable premises to partner with 
• New Site Acquisition
• Conversion of opposition Route Operator sites and building relationships
• Coordinating and ensuring that sites are commissioned as per standards, policies and procedures
• Facilitating the correct positioning of LPM’s, choice of games and denominations
• Ensuring all machines are in working order
• Reporting and logging of calls to Technical Support

Client Account Management:

• Maintaining relationships with site owners
• Planning of Marketing and Promotions at the venue to enhance revenue
• Managing the nomination requirements, registration and training bookings for all key and gaming employees
• Supervising and managing the site start-up and cash-up process
• The management and maintenance of allocated sites
• Continual site visits covering revenue maximisation and statistics, business development and site requirements
• The co-ordination of site promotions

Site compliance:

• Ensure site compliance with all policies, rules and regulations

Management of strategic relationships through:

• Building relationships with site owners, customers, Gauteng Gambling Board & local government
• Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reporting and Administrative Tasks

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Grade 12 + relevant tertiary qualification (sales or marketing)
• Extensive experience in analysing market trends and strong ability to interpret and convey/communicate financial statistics
• Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
• Solid understanding of basic financial / accounting practices
• English and a regional language would be advantageous.
