Area Manager

SUMMARY:
A vacancy exists for an Area Manager position The main purpose of this position is to manage several Operations Managers to ensure the posting of Security officers, that all site security requirements are adhered to and that the Client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times.

POSITION INFO:

• Key Performance Areas:

• Managing several  Operations Managers to ensure that contractual requirements are met as stipulated by the Client
• Maintaining good relations between the Client with regard to security services rendered
• Constantly evaluating the services levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services
• General management and supervision of Operations Managers and supervision of Security staff to ensure that required performance is met at all times
• Dealing with all required administration matters
• Liaising daily with management on various operational issues
• Submitting relevant weekly / monthly incident and general reports as required by Management
• Formulate disciplinary action.
• Attend to CCMA matters.
• Manage vehicle fleet.
• Manage fire arm registers and controls / Investigate fire arm incidences.
•  Attend to and investigate vehicle accidents   / complete accident reports / WCA Claims.
• Liaising daily with Branch Management on various Operational matters.

• Experience and Skills required: (Add skills per requirement)

• Matric or Grade 12 certificate
• Must be PSIRA (Min Grade B) registered and accredited
• At least 10 years’ experience in the security industry.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the management of Middle to Senior Management.
• Extensive knowledge on HR and IR Policies and procedures.
• Must have a sound knowledge of the ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management system.
• Working knowledge of the Firearm Act is required
• Financial skills – Budgeting / Knowledge of financial reports.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of SAP
• Strong planning, leadership and organizational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• No criminal record.
• Experience in Power point presentations.
