Area Manager Crop Protection - Central SA

SUMMARY:

A global leader in Agricultural solutions is seeking a dynamic Area Manager for the Central South Africa region (Mpumalanga, North-West Western Free State) to be responsible for the sales, marketing and technical support on all crop protection chemicals to all the distributors in the area.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Entomology, Plant pathology or similar
• An AVCASA Crop Life certification will be an added advantage
• Previous agricultural experience, ideally in crop protection chemicals will be required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel
• Excellent communication skills are important

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting sales strategy development, including KAM, sales steering and driving new sales
• initiatives and commercial policies on all levels in the market.
• Developing and implementing differentiation services / product offers for Key Customers and Distributors
• Developing and implementing the G-2-M strategy and the successful execution of sales activities
• that support sales objectives.
• Developing and implementing Distributor/Agent segmented classification and developing sales
• plans according to commercial policies to ensure that sales budgets are achieved, whilst maintaining
• agreed ROI and sales margins.
• Ensuring the on-time planning and implementation of Sales Operation Plans, including Farmer days.
• Managing and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts, and cost budgets.
• Maintaining cost transparency for selling cost and 95% forecast accuracy and developing strategies to close any sales gaps.
• Implementing Distributor and Agent Contracts, Target Agreements and Budgets including the tracking of forecasts.
• Ensuring compliance, anti-trust, and business ethics.
• Ensuring that Controller, Supply Chain, Technical & Marketing Management team is kept up to date with sales activities, plans, strategies and budgets.
• Ensuring that all sales activities and plans are aligned with Parent Product & Brand Strategy as set out by the company.
• Ensuring that company brand and product brand standards follow company set-out standards.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
