Area Manager - Hygiene Chemicals

SUMMARY:

A multinational food hygiene company providing cleaning services and hygiene chemicals to food processing plants and abattoirs, requires the above to be responsible for sales and marketing within the Bloemfontein area.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Grade 12
• B.Sc. in Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology will be of great advantage
• Minimum 3 years ‘ sales experience into food manufacturers and abattoirs are essential
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills will be required
• Strong new business development and key account management skills are important
• Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing existing business as well as developing new business into food manufacturers and abattoirs to provide a full hygiene service as well as chemical sales.
• Maintaining and building client relationships.
• Meeting monthly sales targets.
• Liaising with management, providing sales and client reports.
• Monitoring sales trends and providing feedback to senior management.
• Increasing market share in the region with the provided resources.
• Developing and implementing product demonstrations in the region.
• Investigating, understanding, capturing and communicating customer requirements.
• Creating a demand for hygiene products and services.

Salary is highly negotiable depending on experience gained
