Area Manager - Northern Cape

• Managing all day to day activities within the area
• Monitor sales performance of all stores and staff within the region
• Evaluate performance in the achievement of budgets and take action where necessary
• Monitor expenses
• Identify ways in which to increase sales opportunities within each store
• Protection of all assets through effective implementation of company policies and procedures
• Pro-actively influence stockholding to ensure correct merchandise mix.
• Ensure that promotional activity has been accurately implemented
• Ensure strong visual standards across the stores in-line with company standards
• Ensure store lay-outs are in-line with company standards
• Ensure a strong level of customer service across the area
• Ensure that company administration procedures are being adhered to
• Knowledge of competitor business
• People management
• To be accountable for the processes of succession planning, staff development and recruitment planning to ensure all positions within the area are staffed to the optimum level
• Staff training sessions – guide stores by means of a training plan
• Ensure customer friendly and efficient environment

Skills | Experience Required:

• Chain store Area Manager experience
• 5 years retail experience in apparel
• Strong merchandising knowledge
• Sound IR knowledge
• Computer literate

The suitable candidate will currently be functioning as an Area Manager.
