SUMMARY:
Lexdan Select is assisting a wholesale manufacturer with their search for an Area Sales Manager, based in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

The role is to lead a team of Customer Sales employees to achieve the budgets of the company. The role is responsible for training and developing staff, and ensuring team budgets are met. The key emphasis of this position is realizing growth and assisting the company develop their multichannel strategy.

Requirements:

Matric or equivalent
Marketing/business degree/diploma, or currently studying towards degree/diploma
Min 5 years’ experience as a Sales Manager
Must have experience in managing a team of 8 or more
Leadership and negotiation skills
Knowledge of the wholesale sector, or related sectors
Strategic thinking and computer skills (MS Office)
Presentation skills and results orientated

Specifications and Competencies:

Participate in recruitment
Ability to read and understand reports and sales figures
Initiate sales schemes, in order to increase sales and revenue
Expand company’s customer base
Actively take part in staff development
Manage, train, mentor and motivate Customer Service Consultants
Disciplinary record is clean
