POSITION INFO:

Our client based in the Western Cape area is seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager. The ideal candidate should aim to support and develop their customer base in the Western Cape market.

Responsibilities:

• Grow the company’s customer base in the Western Cape
• Provide technical backup for existing customers
• Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Manage the Western Cape Production Centre & Warehouse
• Manage a small team of production staff, ensuring excellent quality & productivity
• Manage income & expenses to ensure the production centre’s sustainability
• Support the company’s regional sales activities

Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in horticulture or agriculture from a recognized institution
• Experience in the following fields is advantageous; Nurseries & Plant propagation, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing & warehouse management
• A high level of self-motivation & attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively and operate under pressure
• Excellent communication & reporting skills
• Fluent in Afrikaans & English
• Excellent computer literacy
• Candidates must have own transport
