SUMMARY:
Are you a hands-on technical professional with a passion for precision, machinery, and problem-solving? We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Assembly & Installation Technician to join a dynamic and growing engineering environment.
This role is ideal for a technically strong individual who thrives in both workshop and on-site environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling, testing, installing, and maintaining specialized packing machinery, while also contributing to machining tasks.

POSITION INFO:

Assemble mechanical and electrical components into complete units
Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on assembled equipment
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on packing machines
Install and commission machinery at client sites
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
Execute basic machining tasks (turning, milling, drilling, etc.)
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Artisan OR National Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
Proven experience in assembly, installation, and maintenance of machinery
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with packing or production machinery will be advantageous
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematic
