Are you a detail-oriented finance professional ready to make an impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? My client is seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to their team in Paarden Eiland. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career within a forward-thinking organisation.

As an Assistant Accountant you will responsible for the following:

Manage the administration and maintenance of investment and project systems.
Execute settlements and assist with month-end closing processes.
Prepare and process journals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee inventory management and reporting.
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT reconciliations.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, statutory returns, and audit schedules.
Provide financial analysis with commentary to support monthly reporting.
Support other assistant accountants and handle ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom Accounting (preferred) or National Diploma in Accounting/related qualification.
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, Income Tax, and VAT legislation.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP experience advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to thrive under pressure.
