POSITION INFO:

Job Description

Tax & VAT Support

Assist with compliance across all tax types.
Check Income Tax Assessments and draft objections to SARS.
Manage Provisional Tax returns and support indirect tax processes.

Reconciliation & Reporting

Prepare, compile, and reconcile monthly input and output VAT reports.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all reconciliations before submission.
Capture and process monthly accounting entries.

Submission & Compliance

Complete and submit VAT returns timeously.
Manage related payments and ensure full compliance with SARS requirements.
Keep up to date with tax and VAT legislation

SARS Engagement

Handle all SARS queries professionally and within expected turnaround times
Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and tax risk management

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with finance colleagues to ensure overall accounting accuracy
Participate in continuous process improvement

Skills & Experience

Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
Strong verbal communication
Effective planning and organisational skills
A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
Experience working in complex organisational structures
3–5 years tax and VAT experience

Qualification

BCom Accounting (Required)
SAIT Qualification
