POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
A leading Southern African supplier of construction-related materials is offering an excellent career opportunity within its Finance Business Unit. The Finance Business Unit is seeking an Assistant Credit Control Manager, reporting to the Credit Control Manager and based at the Shared Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and grant credit facilities to new and existing customers within company credit mandates.
Prepare reports on overdue accounts and provisions for bad debt.
Oversee the onboarding of new customers and provide leadership to the Key Accounts team.
Manage the rehabilitation of accounts to minimise credit exposure.
Compile month-end close-off reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct client visits to assess and address business needs.
Provide strategic input for managing high-risk accounts.
Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key account customers.
Ensure adherence to service level agreements and effective debt recovery.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
B.Com Degree, Diploma in Credit Management, or Credit Management Accreditation (ICM).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Credit Control environment as a Team Leader or Supervisor, with exposure to corporate/key accounts.
Manufacturing / Mining exposure would be beneficial
SAP and Advanced Excel is non-negotiable
Strong knowledge of credit-related legislation (NCA, CPA, liquidation and business rescue proceedings).
Proven ability to manage staff and administration systems.
Results-driven with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
