SUMMARY:
A well-established organisation within the distribution sector is seeking to appoint an Assistant Financial Manager to join its finance team.

The successful candidate will support the finance function across reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and financial analysis while working closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate financial management and operational efficiency.

This role is suited to a finance professional who has recently completed SAICA articles and has gained at least one year of post-article experience, ideally within a manufacturing/ distribution environment. environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Management Accounts

Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with intercompany reconciliations and transactions

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
Conduct cash flow analysis
Provide financial information to senior management for capital investment decisions

Compliance & Tax

Prepare and submit VAT returns
Assist with tax calculations
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and regulatory requirements

Operational Finance Support

Work closely with operational teams to understand financial implications of business activities
Assist in improving financial processes and reporting accuracy
Provide insight into the financial impact of operational decisions
