SUMMARY:
Assistant Manager: Electrical Maintenance (12 months FTC)

POSITION INFO:

• Ensure the electrical maintenance of the Asphalt plant and transfer skills on all electrical related maintenance activities to the maintenance team. 
• Identify areas that can be optimized that will lead to improved quality of the health & safety status and plant performance requirements. 
• Develop and implement maintenance methods and procedures in liaison with the Asphalt plant management to improve quality of output, health & safety and plant performance. 
• Develop and implement maintenance methods and procedures of electrical equipment. 
• Develop standard procedures for regular maintenance requirements, planned maintenance and preventative maintenance using proven methods. 
• Develop an electrical m.56aintenance plan. 
• Diagnose all electrical problems. 
• Ensure adherence to procedures and systems for all maintenance works. 
• Develop procedures to timeously procure quality and relevant electrical component is for the Asphalt plant and maintain an inventory of components on hand. 
• Develop a procedure to assess the quality of electrical components. 
• Recommend the new technology in electrical maintenance field and update all relevant procedures and plans after approval. 
• Develop integrated work schedules to ensure effective skills transfer and on-the-job exposure.

REQUIREMENTS:

• B-Tech/ BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• ECSA Candidate registration. 
• 5 years’ experience in Asphalt plant or major plant electrical maintenance environment, inclusive of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
