JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Assistant Engineering Manager to assist and provide support to the Engineering Manager to optimize performance of equipment through perational and maintenance processes

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Intent

PURPOSE:
- To direct and co-ordinate operational aspects through project life cycles to ensure optimum performance according to Life of Mine, business requirements, organisational objectives and sound engineering practice.
- To provide support to Manager, Engineering to optimize performance of equipment through operational and maintenance processes, methods and technology of assets.

MAJOR CHALLENGES:
- Ensuring operational readiness related to projects.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

BEng Electrical Engineering ( Essential or )

BEng Mechanical Engineering ( Essential or )

B Tech Electrical Engineering ( Essentialm or )

B Tech Mechanical Engineering ( Essential )

Gov Cert of Competence: Engineering ( Essential )

Management Development Programme ( Essential )

Experience:

Minimum of 6-8 years experience
Relevant plant, production, operational and maintenance experience; Project Management, Design and development experience. With coal underground or surface experience

Additional Requirements eg. Accreditation, Registration & Memberships etc.

Psychometric Assessment - Essential
Competence: SAP Position Specific Module Essential
Engineering Council of SA (PrEng) Recommended/Desirable

Legal Appointments/Requirements

Certificate of Fitness - Essential
MHS Act Regulation 2.13.3.1 (AME) - Essential
