  POSITION INFO:
  The Role:

  RTT Distribution invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Assistant Nightshift Manager position based at the Cape Town Branch. The role is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the storage and distribution operations in line with RTTâ??s Service Level Agreement.

  Skills and Experience:
  • 3 - 5 yearsâ?? experience in Warehouse / Logistics
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in operations.
  • 3 - 5 years management experience
  • Computer Literate
  Key Accountabilities:

  Manage the Local Distribution Process

  • Plan and execute daily operations
  • Direct scheduling of deliveries by notifying customers of arrival times and dates
  • Determine routing and method of transportation by consulting tariff manuals and trucking schedules
  • Assign loads and routes to drivers
  • Manage the achievement of the distribution departmentâ??s daily targets
  • Provide leadership and coaching within the distribution department
  • Manage the relationships between the different departments, stakeholders and outside suppliers
  • Identify and rectify operational problems
  • Capacity management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage shift rosters

  Personality and Attributes:
  • Problem Solving Ability
  • Monitoring skills â?? Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and your employees to make improvements or take corrective action
  • Time Management skillsâ?? manage your own time and the time of your employees
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  Other:
  • Grade 12/ Senior Certificate (Matric)
