JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are offering an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Reservations Manager to join our team.

The position requires that the candidate have a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent. The ideal candidate must have 3 years’ experience in a hotel / resort accommodation sales & reservations team. Knowledge of any booking and point-of-sales system and competency in MS Office are essential.

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment and must be deadline orientated. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, planning, and time management skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Financial management – ensure reservations coordinators follow up & complete their daily duties; ongoing compliance with budgets; prepare various reports; updates rates, contracts, etc.;
Reservation management - ensure the accuracy of reporting data; ensure process efficiency within reservation operations and team; handling queries and complaints; ongoing communication with agents and tour operators re in-house guests;
Leadership of reservations team - motivation of and training of staff and correcting performance irregularities to ensure continued improvement of results;
Customer service & relationship management - to accurately build packages so that no billing and allocation errors occur; manage and update all third party distribution systems with rates, availability and any changes.
