Assistant Technician

SUMMARY:
A Vacancy exists for an Assistant Technician in the Mining Division based in Harmony South – Welkom
 
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:   

POSITION INFO:
Assist Technician with day-to-day duties; Installation and fault finding of new alarms, electric fences and CCTV; Repairing of cables, focusing, cleaning and re - adjusting of cameras; Attending meetings when required to; Assist with good housekeeping practices; Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities; Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company; Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations; Management and Control of Documentation, Including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets; Available to be on standby if and when required and to work long hours if required; Ensure adherence to Company policy & procedures;  Preferred qualifications\/attributes\/skills:    Grade 12 or equivalent qualification; Driver's license Code 8 advantageous Relevant experience in similar position and technical background advantageous; Bilingual (English and any other South African language); Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must reside in Welkom or surrounding area; Own transport; No criminal record; Willing to work long hours \/ overtime and willing to travel extensively; Employment consideration will be in accordance with the Employment Equity Act requirements  Should you not hear from us within 14 days after closing date, your application should be considered unsuccessful
