SUMMARY:
This global FMCG corporate, currently seeks an Associate Accounts Manager, who is ambitious and comfortable with communicating at all levels. Ideally the successful candidate will have first-hand knowledge of and contacts within the Food Service industry.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

Degree in Commercial or Food Science.
FMCG Food related experience is key.
Good working knowledge of food industry and how it relates to the product development and commercialisation.
Sales or customer-facing experience, where your technical capability has actively contributed to winning new business.

Main Accountabilities:

Prospect and close new business opportunities through custom product and integrated solution selling to deliver profitable growth/margin.
Pro-actively defend current business/margin.
Identify a portfolio of quality growth projects to deliver margin growth.
Identify innovative, customer-focused solutions to customers.
Understand the competition and display a broad understanding and relationship with other technical functions.
Implement business pricing decisions and maintain business.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of features, advantages and benefits of the company products and articulate the company''s unique value proposition to the customer.
Develop strong strategic relationships within key customers R&D, Marketing and Sourcing and foster counterpart relationships (direct contact strategy/build customer team).

Competencies:

Be comfortable with IT, in particular MS Office.
Have an interest in, and knowledge of the food service industry.
Be commercially aware and possess a strong level of numeracy.
Be a results-driven self-starter.
Good interpersonal and strong negotiation skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Be flexible and be prepared to go the extra mile.
