Audit Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, based in the South-East Suburb of Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), is currently recruiting for an experienced Audit Manager to join their team who will directly report to the partners of the firm.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Essential: CA (SA)
• Experience working with CaseWare, Pastel and Microsoft Office.
• Advantageous: Experience working with GreatSoft.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Managing the Audit Department.
• Provide clean audits.
• Managing and supervising audit engagements.
• Co-ordinating and planning work for a team of audit clerks.
• Responsible for SAICA assessment process and staff assessments.
• Performing disciplinary procedures.
• Reviewing Audit Clerks work conducted.
• Staff briefing on a weekly basis.
• Continuously adapt plans of changes, and plan for upcoming work.
• Acting as a liaison between Partners and Clerks, reporting and monitoring reports on jobs to Partners.
• Liaise with clients regarding Accounting/Audit issues.
• Managing all client related queries.
• Communicating the firm’s decisions to the Audit Department and giving feedback of Audit Departments issues to the Partners.
