This company was only established a few years ago but has managed to secure the position as a leading metals mining company with operations taking place in Southern Africa and the Americas.    The company is devoted to creating and offering a safe, inclusive, and diverse working environment where every employee is valued and rewarded and given the opportunity to learn and develop the necessary skillset. 

Education:

Certification required CA (SA) or CIA

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum of 10 years’ work experience in Internal Audit or External Audit
• Membership (IIA or SAICA)
• Must have experience in management
• Experience in performing management requests and ad hoc audits
• Must have previous experience in a SOX environment
• Must have experience in performing forensic internal audits
• Must have experience working on the Teammate audit software
• Ability to write complex and technical reports which clearly articulate risk areas, issues, and recommendations
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency and integration in internal auditing while applying internal audit principles and best practices
• Proper experience in a managerial position managing more than one project at a time

Job Responsibilities:

• Familiarity and understanding of Sarbanes- Oxley Act of 2002 legislation, NYSE and JSE listing requirements and IRFS.
• Thorough understanding of internal and external risk factors (micro and macro)
• Adherence to the SSL audit methodologies
• Ensuring compliance with IIA Professional Practices Frameworks
• Reviewing team members’ work to ensure it is compliant with IIA standards and internal mythologies
• Executing high standard audits and
• Ensuring team members meet deadlines
• Meeting quarterly and yearly internal audit deadlines
• Willing to work overtime
• Local and International travel might be required

• Most present high levels of independence, ethics, objectivity, and professionalism

• Must be medically fit in terms of a risk based medical examination at company’s health centre
