Job specific requirements:
- Grade 12
- Certification: Red Seal - Auto Electrician
- Experience: 3-5 years in an underground mining environment, with specific experience in auto electrical systems on Sandvik, GHH, AARD machines
- Physical Fitness: Must be fit to obtain a medical certificate of fitness and declared fit to work on a mine.
Skills:- Competent in auto electrical systems, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, ensuring safe and effective operations in a mining environment.
- Competent B certificate – Underground Hard rock operations
- Medical Certificate of Fitness to work Underground
- Good communication skills
- Clean Criminal record
Responsibilities:
- Participate in maintaining a high level of safety awareness and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems of mining machinery, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment.
- Adhere to maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and provide support when needed.
- Able to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure
- A teamwork mentality to achieve results
- Effective listener with well-developed interpersonal skills
