POSITION INFO:
We are looking for an Auto-Electrician with Mining experience and must adhere to our minimum requirements.
Auto Electrician
Responsibility:
Safety
- Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies
Maintenance
- Breakdown maintenance
- Planned maintenance
- Fault finding
- Requisition of parts needed
- Job Cards
- Paperwork concerning repairs
- Follow up on breakdowns
Housekeeping
- General tidiness and good housekeeping of site and other areas of responsibility
Minimum Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license
- Auto Electrician Trade Certificate Required
- Engineering N2 passed in related field of trade
- At least 3 years’ post trade experience in repair and maintenance of various Heavy Earth Moving Equipment in an Opencast Mining environment.
Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities:
- Fully bilingual
- Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor
- Must possess basic problem solving, basic self-management
