POSITION INFO:
Our client located in Durbanville, Cape Town is looking for an Automation Engineer/ Control Systems Engineer to join the dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse automation projects across multiple industries and control system platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement industrial automation systems for automation projects
• Perform industrial automation and process control engineering functions
• Program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related hardware
• Develop MES and reporting systems
• Conduct factory acceptance testing and on-site commissioning
• Provide on-site support and breakdown assistance when required
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial automation and process control solutions
• Expertise in Schneider EcoStruxure Machine, Automation & Control Expert, Vijeo Designer
• Expertise in Aveva Wonderware InTouch, System Platform, Historian
• Expertise in Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7
• Expertise in Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000
• Expertise in Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA (Perspective and Vision)
• Proficiency in SQL, MS Windows, and MS Server
• Strong understanding of Ethernet network configurations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Motivated, ambitious, and detail-oriented
• Willingness to work extended hours, travel, and spend time on-site when required
• Valid driver’s licence and passport
