The Technical Sales Specialist will perform a vital role within the sales and product teams helping the organisation grow through selling our services and solutions. The performing employee will own and grow a customer base. The Technical Sales Specialists are product, services, software or solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas.  Collaborates with and supports other staff and provides specialist expertise within the commercial teams. Drives proactive activities to build the pipeline, uses specialised knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. May have named accounts allocated, cover a designated geography, or may be allocated to high-potential, competitive accounts. One key performance indicator will be financial performance against target.

Education:

• Electrical Engineering qualification (preferred)
• Trade Test – Instrumentation (desired)
• Matric

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Train customers
• Travelling
• Solution Selling
• PLC advance knowledge
• Pricing, planning and competitor analysis
• Minimum 5 years in technical sales role in the Automation space
