Automation Technician Intern

Our established client, within Bloemfontein, are seeking reliable, results driven Automation Technicians Interns to join their team!

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Trade Certificate or a National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related field. Basic understanding of PLC programming, ( Siemens, Allen-Bradley) Schneider, Delta, Omron or similar). Knowledge of electrical control systems and industrial instrumentation. Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Valid RSA driver's license with own transport. Responsibilities: Assisting with PLC programming, troubleshooting and modifications. Support the installation and commissioning of automation and control systems. Perform electrical wiring and panel installations according to engineering drawings. Test, inspect and maintain PLC-controlled equipment. Assist with fault finding on electrical and automation systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, witing diagrams and PLC logic. Support preventative maintenance activities on production equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and programming activities. Participate in continuous improvement and automation projects.
