JOB DESCRIPTION:

Automotive Production Manager ( Cable& Harness), Brits, RNeg + Ben

? Relevant degree or diploma

? At least 5-8 years cable manufacturing and/or production management experience

? At least 5-8 years maintenance management experience

? Qualified as an artisan an advantage

? Excellent experience in a managerial role and projects a must

? Certification and/or experience in Quality (ISO9001, VDA6, ISO/TS16949)

? Experience in budget control and reporting systems

? Knowledge of environmental standards, plus good understanding of relevant labour legislation

? Knowledge of cable and harness manufacturing, plus the Krosy-system an advantage

? Understanding of the Customer’s requirements (Quality and Logistics) and in terms of the JIT-Supply (Systems and procedures)

? Fully computer literate

? Flexible commitment to work with ability to work overtime and be contactable at all hours as may be necessary

You will inter alia be responsible to:-

? Maintain full production schedule to meet customer demands

? Successfully lead the production and maintenance teams, ensuring teamwork is enhanced

? Planned maintenance and preventative program for all machinery and equipment

? Determine cause of any/all quality defects and act pro-actively to avoid such

? Maintain product and quality specifications at all times

? Ensure proper training of all relevant personnel

? Achieve plant performance targets i.e. personnel, machinery and equipment

? Optimize material consumption, scrap control and over-usage

? Manage, control and co-ordinate all relevant projects as allocated

? Ensure the effective and professional delivery of all materials and projects within the constraints of relevant agreements & deadlines
