Automotive Quality Engineer (Assembly), Rosslyn, R30K ctc

Grade 12
Degree in Quality Management / Industrial engineering
3 years exp in Automotive Manufacturer
In depth knowledge of ISO TS 16949, VDA6 and AIAG – Core tools and systems
To work within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet.
Key role in identifying and fixing product defects.
Leading the quality team in the shift in the three areas, support all ISO TS 16949 audits
Ensure robust level of Quality parts being produced and assembled for delivery to the customer.
Double check any concerns and Investigate all potential concerns in terms of product conformity,
wrong supplies and Quality performance in the shift.
Ensure delivery of product is in line with customer expectation based on Customer BI rating.
Support Quality Manager with all reasonable requests in terms of Company goals and objectives.
Lead Quality team in shift and ensure clear communication and support to Quality team members.
Drive continuous improvements
Ensure Process adherence by Quality team.
Escalation of all concerns to Senior management where the customer is affected and or at risk.
Maintain discipline of the team and support disciplinary code for any misconduct.
Manage time and attendance of shift.
Work with Shift Managers Paint and Assembly as a coercive team
Support training & development of Quality & production for continuous improvement
Responsible for ensuring that hourly reporting internally to team members and drive containments
and corrective actions for concerns.
Responsible for tracking concerns daily in terms of Company performance for all defects at customer
