Salary: R10,000 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience and current salary)
Introduction:
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Reconditioning Clerk to coordinate and manage the vehicle reconditioning process from start to finish. The successful candidate will ensure that vehicles are prepared efficiently, within agreed timelines, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong administrative skills, excellent coordination abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with multiple internal departments and external service providers.
POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the complete vehicle reconditioning process. Open, monitor, update, and close reconditioning job cards. Liaise with workshop personnel, parts departments, and external suppliers to ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes. Schedule and monitor all reconditioning activities, including mechanical repairs, body repairs, detailing, and accessory installations. Obtain quotations and approvals for reconditioning work where required. Monitor reconditioning costs and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets. Maintain accurate vehicle status reports and administrative records throughout the reconditioning process. Conduct final quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet required quality standards before release. Maintain accurate filing and documentation related to all reconditioning activities. Assist with stock control and vehicle movements where required. Provide regular progress updates to management and relevant stakeholders. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Requirements Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Reconditioning Clerk or in a similar automotive administrative role. Previous experience within a motor dealership environment is essential. Valid driver's licence. Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience using a dealership management system will be advantageous.
