Our client a reputable passenger vehicle dealership is seeking a motivated and reliable Repair Shop Assistant / Junior Technician to support the workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior candidate looking to grow their technical skills and build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Assist qualified technicians with vehicle servicing and repairs
Perform basic maintenance tasks (oil changes, tyre rotations, battery checks, etc.)
Prepare vehicles for inspection and diagnostics
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop
Handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly
Support parts collection and workshop logistics as required
Follow all dealership and OEM standards and procedures
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12
Repair shop assistant / Junior Technician / Apprentice
Basic mechanical knowledge, experience or strong interest in the automotive industry Essential!!
Multi-Brand experience (advantageous)
Previous workshop or dealership exposure (advantageous)
Valid driverâs licence (preferred)
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Good work ethic and reliability

Good communication skills
Ability to follow instructions
Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
