POSITION INFO:
My client is seeking an Aviation Medical Assessor to ensure ICAO compliance with regards to medical requirements, compliance of air ambulance operators, aviation medicine training and to participate in accident investigation. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, conduct research to analyze trends and with implementation of aviation safety intervention strategies. Evaluations of foreign medical records and validations. Provide medical information and advice for accident investigations. Manage medical certification queries and other issues related to aviation medicine. Development of regulations and guidelines related to the spread of communicable disease by air travel. Evaluate manuals, development of master surveillance plan and conduct audits 141, 64 and 138.
Minimum qualification requirements and skills:
- MBCHB with Post Graduate Diploma/Higher Qualification Occupational Health, Public Health, Administrative Medicine, Medico-Legal/ Aviation Medicine or any other relevant qualification
- Aviation related experience a non-negotiable
- 5 Years’ experience Medical Officer/Medico-Legal/Aviation Medicine or other
- Surveillance/Audit qualifications would be highly advantageous
