Qualification

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Formal QA and Safety related Qualifications that include Auditing, Aircraft Incident and Accident Investigation etc.

Requirements

• At least 5 years within an airline management role.
• At least 2-5 years sound understanding of Aviation Network or Airline Operations.
• Ability to draft clear and concise reports and procedures.
• Extensive operational knowledge and understanding of flight operations, ground operations, cargo operations, airport operations, dispatch, aircraft maintenance and dangerous goods.

Duties

• The Quality and Safety Manager is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day execution of all the Quality and Safety activities of the Aviation Flight Operations, Ground Operations and Technical Departments.
• Ensure that the activities of the operator are monitored for compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, and any additional requirements as established by the company, and that these activities are being carried out properly under the supervision of the relevant manager or Post holders.
• Acts as co-ordinator for responses to findings raised during audits.
• Is responsible for ensuring that the Quality Management System and Programs are properly established, implemented and maintained and continually reviewed and improved.
• Monitor all Airline activities to ensure competent personnel, adequate facilities and equipment is utilized for the intended work scope.
• Is responsible for ensuring that the Safety Management System and Programs are properly established, implemented and maintained and continually reviewed and improved.
• Ensure only appropriately certified, properly trained, and authorized personnel are used to perform their duties as required in Flight Operation/Safety and Maintenance.
• Provide support and guidance on issues relating to Safety, Security and Ground Ops and Maintenance.
• Ensure all company departmental manuals and procedures are reviewed and updated to reflect changes in current company policy, industry standards and working practices.
• Develop and conduct risk management evaluations as needed.
