The company:
A rapidly growing consultancy, they are Microsoft Gold Partners and have gradually been growing their presence, particularly in the Edinburgh market over the past few years. With their speciality being modern workplaces and cloud computing, this is a particularly busy time for them and has been for a few years now. They are continuously trying to progress their employee''s skills and are the type of company who really drive accreditation and reward you for it. You will be working a combination of from home, from the office and occasionally on client site, when Covid is less of a factor (largely WFH long term).
The business is extremely focused on making sure their employees are well looked after and you will be eligible for a generous bonus as well as receiving bonuses to undertake new Microsoft certifications.
The role:
You will be working with some global businesses based from Scotland, and there are actually as many as 4 Architect positions available. The project you will be focused on is an acceleration of an Azure environment and you will be involved in a huge deployment of virtual desktops. They are looking to speak to people with a strong Azure design and deployment background and any Azure accreditations would be an added bonus.
You will have full responsibility for implementing enterprise level infrastructure solutions, from the initial requirements gathering, through to the design and development, to the final delivery and support. You will also be responsible for owning the technical customer engagement including technical leadership, architectural design, specific implementation projects, and / or proof of concept.
Skills required:
** Deep understanding of Microsoft Server technologies, business drivers and emerging computing trends (Azure / O365 advantageous)
** Experience in infrastructure architecture and design, networking, virtualization, Active Directory, identify and access management, security and storage
** Background in enterprise level infrastructure solutions
** Ability to build resilient multi-site architectures
** Understanding of data storage and regional boundaries in regulated environments
