Intermediate Azure Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client a leading Tech firm is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to join their team in Randburg on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rate and an excellent working environment.

Our client requires an Azure Data Engineer to develop, deploy and monitor data pipelines

across the Data Lake and into Synapse. Develop PowerBI data sets and data flows and develop curated data sets for consumption by data scientists and BI specialists.

Requirements

Extensive experience developing Business Intelligence solutions
Extensive experience developing data marts and transformations
Extensive experience developing Power BI data sets and data flows
Extensive working continuous delivery and continuous integration
Experience working with Digital Analytics & media data (GA360, Facebook, Twitter)

Technical Competencies

Azure Synapse
Azure Data Factory
Azure Data Lake
Parquet Files
SQL Database
Transact SQL
PowerBI data flows and data sets
Azure Data Ops

Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field required
Experience with Microsoft Azure.
Azure Data Fundamentals Certification
