Quarry, Ready-mix and Hollow core business seek a hands-on Senior Cost and Management Accountant to be part of their management/strategic team, do costing and forecasting, manage and develop a team, and work with Operations, the FM and Operations manager to ensure profitability. Do wages and assist with benchmarking salaries. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a degree, min 15yrs of experience and someone who had a good working knowledge of the Ready-mix industry. This is low a margin big numbers business so having worked in Ready-mix or similar industry is a plus. We are looking for a mid-career to senior Cost and Management Accountant who is driven and strategic. You will report directly to the MD and the FM and finance team will report to you. You will need a good understanding of contracts and the legal framework that governs contracts in the Ready-mix industry. You will need your own car and must speak Afrikaans and English.

Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

1. Cost Accounting
2. Legal expertise – Understanding of JBCC, Building Industry, Litigation, etc.
3. Payroll – Payment generation and all other SARS forms and reports
4. New appointment package calls.
5. Budgets vs Actual – Income and expenses
1. Analyse
2. Project
3. Sales - Selling Price
4. Product price increases
5. Cost Management
6. Management Skills

1. Train, Advise & Lead managers in a financial manner

7. Manage the financial division
8. Input on business structure, TAX savings, NEWCOs, etc.
9. Commission Calcs
10. Incentive Calcs
11. An Older person with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
12. Form part of the management team
