BARISTA \/ BARMAN – East London MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Previous experience as a Barista, Barman, Bartender or similar hospitality role . Experience preparing coffee and other hot and cold beverages. Knowledge of basic bar service and beverage preparation. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Friendly, outgoing and professional personality. Good attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. Good numeracy and cash-handling skills. Reliable and punctual. Well-presented and professional appearance. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required. Must be willing to perform general duties within the hospitality environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Barista Duties Prepare and serve coffee, tea and other hot beverages to a high standard. Prepare cold beverages and specialty drinks. Ensure coffee equipment and workstations are clean and properly maintained. Maintain adequate stock of coffee, milk, syrups and other beverage supplies. Ensure consistency and quality in all beverages served. Barman \/ Bar Duties Prepare and serve beverages according to customer orders. Provide friendly and efficient service to customers. Ensure the bar area is clean, organised and well-stocked. Monitor stock levels and report shortages. Handle cash and card transactions accurately where required. Follow responsible service practices and company procedures. Customer Service & General Duties Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take orders accurately and efficiently. Process payments and provide correct change where applicable. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the service area. Assist with opening and closing duties. Follow all health, safety and food-handling procedures. Assist other team members when required. SALARY – R6,500 pm WORKING HOURS - Flexible hospitality hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays , according to operational requirements.
