Meta Lake Data Management & Data Quality
As BI DBA Integration Specialist you will source relevant master data sources as required by service lines to land via SQL Service Integration Services into “Meta Lake” DBMS. You will document source data and Data Quality Requirements to be applied to daily DQS runs and report on data quality issues to the service lines and owners of the data sources for remediation.
Support and develop existing ETL projects
Develop and support Meta Lake SSIS ETL Projects and Packages that source data from files, databases , external cloud web services ,and land this data into the Meta Lake DBMS.
Develop and support Billing SSIS ETL Projects and Packages that Extracts data from the Meta Lake and performs various Transformations.
You will therefore also maintain a billing source, mapping sources, and catalogue of services source pertaining to the billing processing. Supply and maintain required billing processing reporting and service line detail and summary reports as required.
Perform Billing Runs
Perform (trial non-prod) mid-month, as well as (actual prod) month-end billing runs, that will supply validated billing data to the SAP Hana S4 financial system for processing of SGT and other customer financial data, via 3 interfaces BIL(sales order), MIS(cost allocation), PPO (cost allocation).
BI DBA Tasks
You will maintain reliability, stability and data integrity of the SQL BI environments and services. Provide support in the administration, backup, integrity and security of the database environment and SQL BI deployments and services and toolsets. Assist with various tasks from software upgrades and custom interfaces, to troubleshooting and monitoring.
You will be on standby every second week and working of overtime might be required in busy times.
Experience
- At least two years experience in BI SQL scripting
- Proven, demonstrable interest in DBMS such as SQL, Sap Hana, Teradata, Cloudera and Attunity replication.
- Proven, demonstrable knowledge of SQL queries and scripting,
- Proven, demonstrable interest in technology (servers, storage systems, networks, “no sql” databases etc.)
- Proven , demonstrable knowledge of SQL BI offerings such as SSRS, SSIS and SSAS and Power BI
- Data warehouse and modelling experience is desirable
- Knowledge of IDE’s such as SQL Server Management Studio & Visual Studio or experience is desirable
- C# knowledge or experience is desirable
