BI Developer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Legal Sector, has an opportunity available for a BI Developer to be based in the Pretoria area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Matric/National diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, BI report development, testing, training, change management, and support methodologies.
• Minimum of 3 years SQL Programming, Power BI and Advanced Excel experience.
• Strong financial background with experience having worked on financial systems.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies.
• Experience delivering and/or authoring technical training.
• Ability to work under pressure and engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience in data warehouse design.
• Provides technical and functional development of reporting solutions and data analysis using tools like:
  o Microsoft SQL programming
  o SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
  o Power BI
  o Advanced Excel
  o PowerPivot for Excel

• Develop standard reports and functional dashboards based on the Company''s requirements.
• Develop business intelligence models that can be used to generate both standard and ad-hoc reports.
• Provides overall guidance for data quality.
• Identify and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
• Perform quality assurance checks on new or enhanced reports.
• Maintain data analytics platforms.
• Evaluating and improving existing BI systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting on BI models.
