POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of debit order collections, ensuring accurate authentication processes and continuously monitoring performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and test collection tracking methods and payday strategies, making data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement strategies to reduce transaction costs and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with payment requirements, as well as all relevant rules, directives, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data, Credit Risk, IT, Operations, and Finance, to enhance collections performance and achieve business objectives.
- Identify, define, recommend, and implement enhancements to systems, tools, and processes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Experience and skill required
- Tertiary qualification
- 5 years experience in debit order collections / payments
- Demonstrate proven understanding of DebiCheck, RM payments and SA Banking and Payments systems and infrastructure
- Working knowledge of the National Credit Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act and Protection of Personal Information Act.
- Strong experience in SQL, experience with payment APIs and file formats, basic python.
