An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager to join a leading multidisciplinary professional services environment. This newly created position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end bid management function, lead a team of bid professionals and play a key role in securing strategic growth opportunities.
Reporting into senior leadership, the successful candidate will provide oversight and accountability for the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and bid qualification through to submission, post-submission review and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the end-to-end bid management process, ensuring high-quality, compliant and compelling submissions
• Drive opportunity assessments and support bid/no-bid decision-making processes
• Provide strategic input into bid strategy, value propositions, win themes and competitive positioning
• Take ownership of complex, high-value tenders and proposals
• Manage proposal planning, governance, timelines, reviews and submission processes
• Ensure all submissions meet client requirements and evaluation criteria
• Facilitate bid kick-off meetings, progress reviews and lessons-learned sessions
• Oversee bid reporting, pipeline management, performance tracking and risk management
• Lead, mentor, and develop the bid team while driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement
• Build and enhance bid management processes, tools, templates and best-practice methodologies
• Collaborate closely with technical specialists, business development teams and senior stakeholders to develop winning submissions
• Support the implementation and optimisation of technology and AI-driven bid management processes
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain or a related field
• 8–10 years' experience in bid management, proposal management or tendering
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing bid teams and complex proposal processes
• Strong understanding of public sector, international and donor-funded procurement environments
• Proven track record of delivering successful, high-value bids and proposals
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
Advantageous Experience
• Exposure to AI-enabled bid management processes
• SharePoint experience
• Previous copywriting or proposal writing experience
• Experience within consulting, engineering, infrastructure, professional services, development finance, environmental services or related sectors
