BILLING & SHIPPING CONTROLLER

Logistics | Freight Forwarding | Billing & Settlement

We are recruiting an experienced Billing Controller / Shipping professional to join a dynamic international logistics environment.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This logistics role is combining:
60% Billing & Settlement | 40% Shipping / Freight Forwarding

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timeous processing, verification, reconciliation and settlement of logistics-related billing transactions, while also coordinating international sea and air freight shipments from origin through to final delivery.

We are looking for someone who understands both sides of the shipment — the financial transaction behind it and the physical movement of the freight.

POSITION INFO:
KEY REQUIREMENTS Candidates should have practical experience in: Logistics \/ freight billing and settlement AR\/AP processing and reconciliation Customer invoicing and supplier invoice verification Rate and cost verification Job costing and profitability tracking Billing discrepancies and query resolution International freight forwarding Sea and air freight Imports and exports Full shipment lifecycle management Shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents and transporters Customs clearance coordination Bills of Lading (B\/L), Air Waybills (AWB) and other shipping documentation Shipment tracking and customer updates SAP and strong Excel skills would be highly advantageous THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You are highly accurate, analytical and organised, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment , managing multiple transactions and shipments while meeting strict deadlines. Important: This is not a general Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bookkeeping or finance administration position . Previous hands-on experience within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, 3PL, transport or supply chain is important.
