SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for a BIS Specialist (IT and EA), to be based in the Witbank/Middleburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology
4 years’ relevant experience in a senior IT Support role in the Microsoft Desktop environment as well as Microsoft Enterprise environment
Microsoft Certifications (advantageous)
Demonstrate an understanding of issues affecting the management of a local area computer network (LAN)
Demonstrate an understanding of Wide Area Computer Networks (WAN`s), comparing them with Local Area Networks (LAN`s)
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of IT Security relating to network infrastructure (IPS, IDS, etc.)
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of Corporate Governance in IT (SOX)

KPAs:

Design, commission and maintain the local and wide area computer networks
Implement and support new IT Systems
Test Networked IT systems against given specifications
Install and commission multi-user system software in a server/client environment
IT Security
Maintain and support the IT back-up strategy
Implement, maintain and test the disaster recovery plan
IT Infrastructure
System support
Build, maintain and coordinate the BIS team
