Our client is a Cosmetics manufacturer

Job Description

 

Reporting to the MD. You will be responsible for:

Management

• Lead the R&D and QC departments, including HR and line management aspects
• Develop and coach the R&D, QC, and laboratory teams to ensure they are fully trained and able to perform their duties
• Provide guidance to purchasing
• Sign off communications to customers from the QC department (Specs, COA’s, MSDS’s, complaint reports, etc)

R&D

• Develop new and optimize/modify existing products: Provide input into, review and sign off new product proposals, validate and verify product formulations.
• Provide technical input in customer interactions
• Establishing root cause of defects and determining corrective action
• Maintaining required health and safety standards
• Optimization of processes and formulations

Troubleshooting

• Resolve product and manufacturing technical issues and assist with plant issues, modifications and new designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical non-compliances and liaise with the sales department regarding customer complaints

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

• Relevant tertiary degree
