BUYER (With costing experience) / EAST LONDON – Our client is looking for a detail-driven Buyer with strong costing experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for placing orders, tracking of orders, price verifications, managing supplier relationships, and preparing accurate costings to support pricing strategies and profitability goals.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a buying/procurement role with costing responsibility.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in procurement and costing software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Must be highly proficient in Excel spreadsheets
Bookkeeping experience advantageous
Pastel experience advantageous
Responsibilities:
Source and procure goods/services in line with company requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and maintain up-to-date pricing databases.
Analyze supplier quotes and negotiate best pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor and control procurement costs to meet budget objectives.
Track and report on cost variances, savings, and supplier performance.
Salary: Market related
