Back-End Developer

POSITION INFO:

Role

Responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The Back-End Web Developer will write web services and APIs used by front-end developers.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of existing applications. 
• Data modelling (both NO-SQL and relational databases). 
• API development and management. 
• API documentation. 
• Architecting the backend using Micro-Services and Infrastructure as Code. 
• Integration with third party APIs. 

Minimum Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum National Diploma in Computer Science or a related field. 
• Highly developed expertise in at least one of the major OOP languages – JavaScript/Typescript, Python, C# and Java. 
• AWS developer certifications are highly beneficial, but proven experience in the delivery of cloud applications is preferred. 
• A high degree of technical understanding and ability to express complex problems and processes to other team members and clients. 
• A highly developed problem-solving ability. 
• A drive for professional delivery and personal growth. 
• AWS certification is an advantage. 
• Practical experience of AWS serverless services (DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS). 
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. 
• NodeJS
• Familiarity with API-Management, Microservices Architecture, Serverless Architecture. 
• API documentation using SWAGGER/OpenAPI Specification standards.
