A leading organisation within the IT & Internet sector is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join its Development and Engineering team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of strategic solutions while contributing to technical direction, best-practice development and the growth of other developers. What You'll Be Doing Provide technical leadership in the delivery of products and software solutions. Contribute to solution architecture and technical implementation decisions. Develop, maintain and enhance existing systems while supporting the adoption of new technologies. Deliver strategic development projects within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards. Design and implement robust, scalable back-end solutions. Work closely with developers, technical leads, managers and architects. Mentor and coach Junior Developers, encouraging knowledge sharing and technical growth. Promote and maintain strong software development standards and best practices. Participate in testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. Document systems and technical enhancements to support effective knowledge sharing. Work collaboratively within an Agile\/Scrum development environment. What You'll Need A Degree or Diploma in an IT-related field. 4-6 years of relevant software development experience . Strong commercial experience with C# . Experience working within Scrum\/Agile environments. Experience with SQL Server , including relational database design and complex SQL queries. Strong understanding of software development best practices and source-code configuration management. Experience with development principles such as SOLID, KISS, TDD, DDD and Clean Coding . A strong focus on quality, attention to detail and sustainable development practices. Advantageous Experience .NET Core WCF Web API Azure DevOps \/ TFS \/ Git SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Message-queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, ApacheMQ or Kafka Multi-threaded and parallel development Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification Apply now!
