SUMMARY:
Join a marketing company as a Backend Developer!
We are seeking a skilled individual to manage, maintain, and develop Python-based APIs and backend tools. This position is based in Somerset West.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years development experience
Experience in Python, Git, SQL and database architecture
Experience developing web frameworks
Experience with HTTP / JSON API best practices
SQLAlchemy
PostgreSQL
Flask (Python)
Nginx
Familiarity with Linux environments

Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain and develop core product APIs:

Maintain and develop Python APIs and tools
Prioritise and address bugs and features
Liaises with internal stakeholders on requirements and specifications for fixes and features
Manage releases and deployments
Provide support to internal users

System Documentation:

Write and maintain internal documentation for APIs and other systems for which you are responsible
Liaise with others to produce documentation and marketing material for clients

Develop and maintain new web frontends and apps:

Lead development of any new required web frontends
Liaise internally to scope work and design architecture
Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements
Develop new systems
