SUMMARY:
A well established 4 Star resort in the Nelspruit region is seeking an experienced and results driven Banqueting / Sales Manager to lead the resort's conferencing, events, weddings, and banqueting operations while driving new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full event lifecycle from initial enquiry through to execution, building strong client relationships, maximising venue revenue, and ensuring every function is delivered to the highest standard. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for sales, event planning, and exceptional customer service.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENT: RSA ID and legal residence essential Minimum 3 years' experience in Banqueting, Conferencing, Events, or Hospitality Sales within a 4 Star or 5 Star hotel, resort, or lodge Previous experience coordinating weddings, conferences, and corporate events essential Strong sales, negotiation, and client relationship management skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities Strong financial understanding including budgeting and event costing Computer literate with Microsoft Office experience Experience with PMS and event management systems advantageous Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required Professional, well presented, and service driven Valid Driver's License advantageous KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all conference, banqueting, wedding, and event enquiries Conduct site inspections and prepare quotations and event proposals Coordinate all event planning from booking through to execution Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event organisers Drive conference and banqueting sales to maximise revenue Liaise with Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Housekeeping, and Operations to ensure seamless event delivery Monitor event budgets, profitability, and guest satisfaction Ensure exceptional service standards throughout every function Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and event schedules Identify new business opportunities and promote the resort's conferencing and event facilities PACKAGE: R20,000 per month (DOE) Live-in accommodation provided LOCATION: Nelspruit - Mpumalanga
